At Nauta Home Designs, the ideal of green design is not just a marketing ploy or something that sounds good. It is something that we take to heart with each project we get involved with.

Green design is not about just talking in-floor radiant heat, or having solar panels installed. Green design with Nauta Home Designs is always a holistic approach to all that humans do within the buildings we live, work and play at.

For us, green design is about designing and implementing energy saving systems that work effectively with the rest of the building. It is about utilizing energy saving systems that provide the idea level of comfort we desire, at all times and in all elements.

From geo-thermal heating systems, to in-floor radiant heat, to higher R factors of walls, basements and ceilings, to air tight door seals, and to thermal barriers of wall systems...Green design is only effective when implemented throughout the design.

We are very involved with new technologies and are always interested in pursuing new products and methods to help our customers receive the best comfort in their new home or building.

We are involved with the Energy Guide requirements for new homes, LEED design systems and the new requirements of SB-12 of the Ontario Building Code for 2012.

In addition, we have 20 years experience with building science and thermal design for buildings and houses.
